my sn# is not being recognized

Hi @Diver01. Thank you for sharing the photo of the back of your device. It looks like you have the Ring Video Doorbell 2 (with removable battery) and not the Ring Video Doorbell 2nd Generation (internal battery). The devices that are affected are only the Ring Video Doorbell 2nd Generation. With that being said, you can rest assured that your Ring device is OK and not affected. I hope this clears things up for you!

Hi there - my Ring Doorbell v2 is model 8VR1S7-0FC0 and see pic attached for S/N. website says this S/N is not recognized but want to make sure I don’t have the version that is recently in recall. Thanks.

Hi @Loonger. As mentioned in the Help Center article, the affected model number is “5UM5E5”. The model number you provided is different, which is the reason it says it is not recognized. I hope this information clears things up for you. :smiley:
