QR Code On Ring Doorbell 2

I have a ring door bell 2. We have just had a new router because the old one broke. This has happened in the past and I have simply re-added the device.

This time i needed a QR code. I have taken the doorbell off the wall no QR code. I have checked the device, no QR code.

I cannot find a QR code online.

Some web sites suggested bypassing the QR request, this does not seem to exists on my app.

Is my working doorbell now defunct because Ring have made a change insisting on a QR code?

Update.

It took 2 minutes to bring my Blink back on-line.

Hi @MarkHarrison20. Performing a new setup in the Ring app will require you to scan the QR code or barcode on the Doorbell itself. This is typically located on the back of the Doorbell or underneath the removable faceplate. An alternative method you could try is to change the network name and password on your new network to the same network name and password you had before. Your Doorbell should then automatically reconnect. If these suggestions don’t work for you, please contact our support team to see what other options are available.
