Prompt telling me to purchase ring protect does not have any links to actually purchase ring protect

I bought my first Ring Spotlight camera a month ago, and with it comes a small reminder at the bottom of of the app to “Purchase a Ring Protect subscription or loose your recording history”.

Clicking that opens up an overview on what a ring protection plan offers, and a video on how to purchase it.

The video takes a few minutes to explain; open your web browser, and enter in a URL.

My question is, why isn’t there just a clickable link to that page in the first place?!? Or even a button to just subscribe from my phone.

The less than ideal Customer Experience has honestly been the reason why I let my trial end without already paying for a subscription; I’m just too lazy to watch a video, or explore payment options myself.

Yep - I find it deeply suspicious that there’s no link, no price, no mention of data security - these are the hallmarks of a Scam… I’m pretty sure it isn’t but at best it demonstrates lack of awareness of online scam signatures. Just one of many disquieting issues. Did you ever find out how much it costs?

Hi neighbors! Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. You can find information on the Ring Protect plan both on our website here and in our Help Center Article here. You’ll be able to find information on pricing and features on either of those links, as well as information on how to subscribe since you cannot currently subscribe via the Ring App.

If you have any other questions about your Ring Protect plan or if you need any help with subscribing to a plan, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. They’ll be able to help get you subscribed as well as answer any questions you may have. We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 here to see how to contact support.

I can’t find a button or page to subscribe to a protect plan either! It just keeps redirecting me to a set up page when my stuff has already been set up and in use for a month! So stupid.

Sorry to hear about this, @Catcoot1! If possible, can you send some screen shots or images of the pages in question and the page options/ links that you are referring to? Remember to ensure these images do not contain any personal or private information. Thank you!
