Problem with Pug-in adapter for Ring Door Bell Pro
hardwired-video-doorbell

Hi. I have a Ring Video Doorbell Pro which I used fine at my old house for over a year, powered by the Ring Pug-in Adapter. We moved house and I have tried to set this up again but the unit fails telling me there is poor voltage. I just put a meter on the adapter to check its output and it is cycling from about 20v down to almost zero and back again over a period of about 1 minute. Its clearly hopelessly unstable. Has any one else had problems with the Ring Plug-in adapter failing like this? I don't just want to buy another one in case there is another reason for the problem, but this seems quite indicative of the cause.

Hi @s.woodland1. I would first try plugging the Plug-In Adapter in different outlets, to see if that will yield different results. If you have the same outcome, I would suggest reaching out to our support team for the next best steps. Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360041597471) to see how to contact support.
