I cannot find any instructions on how to install my Pro Power Kit v3 to existing Nicor PRCP2 doorbell. I have a Ring Pro 2 waiting to be be used, but this one has me scratching my head. It just keeps ringing when I connect the power kit to any of the existing terminals.

Super easy. Skip the step where you wire the power kit to your Nicor PRCP2 chime. Just wire the ring pro onto the existing doorbell wires. Then after set up of the device in the ring app, under device settings > general settings > doorbell chime type: set to digital.

Not sure if this thread is still active. I installed the pro 2, skipping the power kit step and adjusting the setting as mentioned. Everything works but when you try to communicate through the app to the person at the door the Nicor keeps ringing and ringing until you mute the speaker and volume on the ring app. Any suggestions on how to fix that?

Hi neighbors! I verified this information with my teams and they confirmed that the Pro Power Kit doesn't need to be installed specifically with the Nicor PRCP2 chime kit when installing the Video Doorbell Pro 2. In the Ring app, make sure the chime type is set to mechanical. If it is set to digital, you make experience issues with humming or continuous ringing. To set the chime type in the Ring app - Tap the menu in the top left - Tap **Devices** - Select your Video Doorbell Pro 2 - Tap **Device Settings** and then choose **General Settings** - Tap **Doorbell Chime Type** and make sure it's listed as Mechanical Again, you do not need to use the Pro Power Kit with the Nicor PRCP2 chime kit, but the chime type should be listed as mechanical for optimal performance. I hope this information helps! If you have any further questions, let me know. :)

Hello, I know this is an old post, but I just got my Pro 2 and have the exact same chime kit. So, for installation, do I just wire my Pro 2 to the existing doorbell wires and use the mechanical option? Is it that easy?
