Power blinked a week ago, now no power to wired doorbell

We had a very small power blink about a week ago. I called in as the Ring wired doorbell completely lost power, seemed to have surged and not have survived. Replaced it today and still don’t have power (no ring light at all). This is wired through an old doorbell with the jumper installed. Does this mean I need to buy the transformer? I’m unsure how to resolve.

Hi @Natbrad1. Since a new Doorbell Wired is not powering on either, it most likely has to do with the power. A good first step would be to look into whether the transformer is not working anymore. I would suggest consulting a qualified electrician if you are not comfortable with hardwiring, and an electrician would also be able to help determine what the issue is with the power.
