Potential for software update error and downtime

I received an email about a month ago notifying me that my “outdoor devices” will receive a software update at any time between end of September and November. It warns that the devices might lose network connectivity “requiring you to set it up on your network again”. How do I refuse this update until I am prepared for it? If the update fails, what happens if I’m not around in person to reset the devices using my phone app?

And how long can we expect the devices to be down?

Hi @Bugster. The update you are referring to should already be done. The Ring devices that were getting the update were all supposed to be done by the end of September. I would recommend reaching out to our support team to see if your Ring devices have already been updated. If they have not updated, our support team will assist you.
