Is it possible to remove the camera from the floodlight pro mounting plate and use seperatey? I want to use a brighter light than the flood lights for motion. My current plan was to buy a Spotlight Cam mount and use the red aux light output wire to power the light, but the floodlight cam pro is the same cost but a better camera (HDR). If i could somehow remove the camera and use in a different mount plate or remove the 2 floodlights from the floodlight pro assembly…I realize this will void warranty…
Hi @tecboy. Other neighbors may chime in with their own DIY tips and tricks, but we strongly recommend against dismantling your Ring device as it does void the warranty. We cannot guarantee your Ring device will perform as intended if it is dismantled and the provided installation instructions are not followed.
Really wish ring would offer the spotlight cam mount with HDR option…would save alot of hassle…
