Poor quality video, I feel cheated

I have a ring 2 doorbell. Quality is consistently poor, regardless of WiFi strength (excellent).

I had a cheap Chinese doorbell camera before this - didn’t even cost as much as $20 including shipping… - and the quality was perfect, min 720p day or night. With this Ring2, I doubt I get as high as 280 during the day and 144 at night…
