Package detection not working

Wired Doorbell Pro/Video Doorbell Pro 2
I am getting person detection alerts but not package alerts. I tried with a medium size box (24"x16") and per support, it is big enough for detection. So they are sending me a replacement doorbell but I am not convinced that it’s a defective device. Anyone else seeing this issue?
