We purchased a Ring 2 for my mom since she’s deaf and wanted to give her an added sense of security around the house when she’s alone, but yesterday we noticed that our doorbell was offline without a notification. Come to find out that the batter had died on us again. I had just charged it less than 2 weeks ago, changed the motion setting since it was going off whenever a headlight would go by, and still no notification. I’m just wondering if it’s a defective battery or if the recent couple of days of less than 30° weather would deplete it that much?
Hi @Silvem. It is very possible that this cold weather could be affecting your battery life, among possibly other things.
