Offline email notification
Is there a way for the app or Ring to notify me if a device goes offline for too long. Unless im constantly monitoring the device, I won't know if it goes offline at all. I found a device this morning that had been offline for the last few days, but with no notification, i wouldn't know unless im in the app checking each day.

This is reaching the 2 year mark pretty soon. Is this not being looked at from Ring product perspective? I’m in the software development and implementation of this should really be a trivial scheduled-background job by the last connection time stamp. You already have all the pieces together. It’s just a small feature to implement.

My ring video doorbell 3 seems to go offline frequently, despite good WiFi signal (RSSI 47 to 56). The fact that I only learn about this haphazardly is an experience-breaking gap in service and functionality. Observing here that this issue has gone unaddressed for several years, I will now be planning my exit from the Ring ecosystem rather than investing more deeply into it.

MSame here. I absolutely do not understand how these big companies with all of these development resources constantly overlook the most fundamental, important features. Nest also has done proper object/person recognition (for instance, not just knowing a person is on your property, but knowing whether or not it's someone from your household) for some time now as well--another feature that I'm bewildered as to how Ring has overlooked. It definitely seems like, despite doing many things right, Ring's products are falling behind, and it's time to consider moving to another platform.

Just bought ring indoor camera today. While testing i unplugged the camera and was waiting if the app notify me thats your camera is off line but i received no notification. Really poor. I work in a cctv control room and monitor cameras. This is must have feature which ring is missing. Not knowing if my camera is monitoring will put my property at risk. In control room when a camera loses connection we have to contact the clients that we have lost connection and the security is at risk. I have load of CCTV experience and again disappointed from ring for not having this feature.

When checking on your Ring device connection status, it is best to check out your [RSSI in the device health section of the Ring app](https://community.ring.com/t/how-it-works-your-ring-device-rssi-good-vs-poor/229), to ensure for optimal wifi signal. On the device health page you will be able to see if there has been a change in your signal or anything else. Often times, you will also get a pop up message in the Ring app if multiple Ring devices are offline. As we always value our neighbor feedback, we recommend sharing your support for this feature on our [Feature Request Board](https://community.ring.com/c/products/feature-request-board/24). Feel free to vote on the existing request there. :)

This is ridiculous! have been living with occasional wifi drops and not getting notified for me to fix it. Miss this for days and figure out randomly when the doorbell does not ring. When will Ring fix this basic feature!??
