I have a Ring Video Doorbell 1st Generation connected to the subject intercom (I cannot find the IM-3003 listed in any of your compatibility documents.) and it works great. I would like to replace the doorbell with a newer version doorbell and minimize any rework. Would I be able to remove the Gen 1 doorbell and just replace it with the 2, 3, 3+, 4, Pro and/or Pro 2 without needing to do any additional wiring?
Hi @sissomi. You can check in our Help Center for a chime kit compatibility list for each model of Doorbell depending on which one you decide on. I would suggest reviewing the compatibility lists to cross check with the model of chime kit you have, although I can’t guarantee that an intercom system will be compatible with most models of Ring Doorbells. Typically a standard digital or mechanical chime kit is what will be compatible. If your chime kit isn’t listed as compatible with the model of Doorbell you choose, we can’t guarantee that it will work as intended. I hope this information is helpful.
