@Joc1 Although you have it wired in the Doorbell 3 is still a battery operated device. The hard wired part just charges the battery. You will find in general that the fully mains powered devices like the wired doorbell or the Pro/Pro2/Elite are much faster. The way they detect motion is a bit different and also there is no "wake up" period like the battery devices.

I have the gen 2 2020 battery, not hardwired at all and my notifications are about 1-2 seconds. Notifications in the context he had described are network dependent. If @Joc1 was saying it only records once people are walking away, then that's a different issue.

@Joc1 Does LiveView work consistently and also what is the RSSI at the doorbell?

Great job checking out your [RSSI in the device health section of the Ring app](https://community.ring.com/t/how-it-works-your-ring-device-rssi-good-vs-poor/229), to ensure for optimal wifi signal. I recommend also checking your mobile device connection variables. Notifications from the Ring app should be received in normal time, as long as signal is optimal.
Please ensure there is not a VPN enabled on your mobile device, and if you are using android, please check for any [android apps that conflict with the Ring app](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005889983-Android-Apps-that-Conflict-with-the-Ring-App). I hope this helps! :)

I see this same response posted to all topics about slow notifications. Surely you have further advice or is this it?

Had a person walk up my 30 feet long path to my front porch, had time to look through a bag I left on the front porch for them... they spent a good 5-6 seconds doing that, then walked back down the 30+ foot path. Ring dings me when she's almost gone. What's the point?

Hi @RabbyDabby. You can also try [rebooting your Ring device from the Ring app](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/7438395032980-Rebooting-your-Ring-Doorbell-or-Security-Camera-). Rebooting your router by unplugging it for a few seconds and plugging it back in could also help. If you have tried these steps additional steps and are still having the same concern, give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406#callus) for further assistance. If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.
