I have a front door. When I get a notation someone is approaching the door I do not see a picture in the message
Same here. I get the normal notifications, but I don’t get the screenshot. All my rich notifications are on. I’m not sure why it’s not working.
Rich notifications have been down since the beginning of August. There’s been no indication yet what the problem is or when it’ll be fixed, but you should see a red box at the top of the screen that says “The Ring System is experiencing difficulties…” that will take you to the status page.

The same here. I have a wired unit that has been working up till the last couple of weeks. What’s going on? It’s annoying. Please fix this.
Hi neighbors, you should be receiving your Rich Notifications again. Thank you for your patience while our team worked to resolve this. Please follow the instructions below to make sure everything is turned on correctly in your app for you to receive Rich Notifications and you should be good to go!
- Open the main menu in your Ring mobile app in the top left corner.
- Select Devices and choose which Doorbell or Cam you would like to update this feature on.
- In your device settings select Rich Notifications and toggle the feature On or Off.
