Nothing when wife leaves for work

Why is it that my wife leaves for work just about the same time every morning and 3 out of the 5 days the ring does not see her leaving. The door bell camera is in direct sun light in the mornings, but she leaves between 9:40-9:45 am each day. I can do a live view at those times and it doesn’t seem like the sun is an issue.

Hi @user52236. Do you have a Motion Schedule set for any days of the week? This would prevent motion notifications for the designated days and times of the schedule. If you have the Live View open, you would not receive a motion notification at that time since the Doorbell is already recording the Live View. If an event was recorded just prior to your wife leaving the house, the Doorbell may still be processing the previous event. Battery powered Ring Doorbells also have a Motion Frequency setting, used to prevent notifications from repetitive motions, that you can adjust as needed.

Reviewing the Motion Zones and your Motion Sensitivity are also troubleshooting steps I would always recommend for motion detection concerns. Lastly, check the Modes settings to ensure you do not have motion detection turned off in a particular Mode.
