No motion outside of garden

Question

Hi im having a hard time using this doorbell 2nd generation, to get motion detected. It doesn’t seem to work outside of my garden. I have got the default zone set to my door and outside of my garden onto a road, but it doesn’t pick up any cars etc going by can any1 help please? I’ve literally tried everything.
