No motion gen 2 wireless doorbell

Hi I just got a new door bell a wireless gen 2 and it was picking up all motions people and parcels for a couple days absolutely fine but now it won’t unless your at the door bell Iv reset the unit and all the motion parameters but still nothing any ideas cheers

Hi @user68305. Multiple factors affect motion detection, including wifi signal strength, motion settings, and the position and angle at which your device is installed. First, verify that your Doorbell has a strong signal by checking the RSSI on the Device Health page.

After that, review your Motion Zones and Motion Sensitivity to ensure they’re set to your liking. If you have a Ring Protect plan, also check your Smart Alert settings. Battery powered devices also have the Motion Frequency setting you can change.

Lastly, it’s recommended for your Video Doorbell to be installed approximately 48 inches above the ground. Installing it lower or higher will negatively impact the motion detection.
