My Ring Peephole unit is NOT detecting, recording or alerting me to any motion when the unit is facing towards the front door. I have received numerous deliveries and nothing is being detected. Ive read the FAQ sections, altered settings, used the tutorials and suggestions from the app. If i open the door, then it sends me alerts or if someone walks in front of the camera, but only when the door is open. Ideas?

Hi @user72399. How do you have your Peephole Cam installed? Is it behind a glass door or storm door? If so, this would prevent the Peephole Cam from being able to accurately detect motion. It is not recommended to install the Peephole Cam on doors with a glass door, metal door, or screen door in front of it.
