No Low Power Emails Since Installing Solar Mount


Ever since I installed the Solar Mount on my Ring Doorbell 2 a year ago, I have not received any low power notifications and my Ring has died several times without me noticing.

I’m still receiving regular Ring email updates and checked my spam folder and nothing. It seems that connecting the Solar Mount to the power in the back of the Ring has triggered something in Ring’s system that causes it not to send low power emails anymore.

Maybe there’s a software/server bug where since the Solar Mount is connected to the power rods, the Ring thinks it is hardwired and that it doesn’t have to send these emails anymore.

How can we get this fixed? Really problematic. Love the Solar Mount but don’t want to have to manually track if my battery is doing ok.
