Hello @Sammi1 ,

It is possible that you’ve accidentally disabled the Neighborhood portion on your Ring App. You should check the Control Center from the Ring app or at Ring.com to double check.

If you’re in the Ring app:

  • Tap the three lines at the top left of your Dashboard screen.
  • Tap Control Center on the left side of the screen.
  • In Control Center, navigate to the Neighbors section on the main menu
  • In the Neighbors page, you can enable or disable the feature via the toggle.

More information and other ways to access your Control center:

https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050152831-Neighbors-Feed-disable-setting-information

If it is indeed Disabled, then toggle it back on. But if you find your toggled still showing that it is Enabled, then you should toggle it OFF, pause for a bit, and then re-toggle it back ON to re-enable. Your settings are stored at the master Ring server, and although it is rare, it is possible that the Ring Sever has your setting in the Disabled setting, even though your Ring App is displaying the opposite. By re-toggling, you “re-send” the correct setting back to Ring.

If checking and/or re-toggling, does not restore your Neighborhood alerts, you could also try logging off your Ring App and then relogging back onto it. Another thing to try is to simply reboot your smartphone by powering it off and then back on. You could also try un-installing your Ring App, powering down your phone, then power it back up and re-install the Ring App again.

If your problem continues, you should telephone Ring Support for additional help, at:

Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19, their available hours have been changed also:

I hope you find this information helpful.

Oh and @Sammi1 , also check your “Customized Neighbors” settings too!

On the Neighborhood page, you can click on the “Customized Feed” blue icon (the 3 horizontal lines with small circles, just right of the words “Customized Feed”). On this “Neighborhood Preferences” page, you have the ability to apply “Advanced Filters” so that you can selectively pick which Neighborhood Alerts you wish to get and which to exclude (Safety, Unexpected Activity, Crime, Lost Pet, Neighborly Moment).

These filters on this page could also be a reason you aren’t getting alerts too, if all of these categories are un-checked. Also check the “Notification Preferences” on this page too, to insure “None” is not selected!
