If in country no street lights basically no light at night in the pitch dark there is no view at all on the camera I have infrared and night colour vision on. Should I be able to see ?

It is the 3rd generation .
Has that off previously as it was bad so I turned it on then. It’s no use to have the camera this dark can’t see anything at night.
