I purchased the stick up indoor outdoor wireless security camera and it arrived yesterday. I installed it in my backyard and checked in out it last night to find that the night vision was turning on for 3 seconds and then off for 3 seconds. This continued indefinitely and is foing it again tonight. The battery is fully charged and i toggled different settings like color night vision on and off. Ehat else can i do? Is it defective?
No its completely dark in my backyard.
Hi @Sunbird. Do you have the Snapshot Capture feature enabled? If you do have it enabled, what Snapshot Frequency do you have set? When you say the night vision is turning on and off, do you mean you’re seeing the infrared lights on the Camera going on and off? Or do you see the night vision turn on and off while reviewing the Live View or a recorded motion event?
I do have snapshot capture set to on for every hour. My issues os when i click into live feed after dark the infrared light while live turns on for 2 seconds and then off 3 seconds. It does this over and over while in live feed. I imagine it would do it for a recording of an event durong the night. If it did i would probably miss very important opportunities to see what was really happening.

HI @Sunbird. Chiming in for Caitlyn here. Thank you for sharing this video. I would first try to perform a reset on your Stick-Up Cam to see if that will prompt the device to behave normally. You can perform a reset by pressing and holding the setup button for 20 seconds, then releasing. Once the reset is complete, you can reconnect the device to WiFi. Have the exact same issue with a Ring stick up battery powered camera. Did a hard reset and didn’t fix it. Even put black electrical tape over the infrared lights and still it clicks on and off during live view when its dark. The infrared lights are triggering the light sensor, so it shuts off the infrared lights. Cycle continues over an over.

Mine is doing the same thing it will be dark and on live feed it clicks on to night vision then off for no reason also did a reset multiple time nothing has fixed the issue.

My Ring doorbell is the same way!! I have the “Color Night Vision” turned on, with snapshots at 3-min (default I guess)
Once its dark out, all you see with the doorbell camera is a BLACK hole, completely worthless. Ive done the hard reset dozens of times, NO help
Additionally, if my wireless internet connection or Power even BURPS, I loose all connectivity to my Ring Devices. I then have to go around and re-install EACH device, a real Pain in the Arse!!!
My personal opinion is the Rind system is of poor quality, and I’d NEVER recommend this system to Anyone!!!
I have same issue. I have a new indoor outdoor ring stick up camera. At night I have an issue with one second the camera clicking on and one clicking off in the night vision. Where can I send a video to show you the condition?

hi yes my stick up cam is brand new and i’m having the same problems like everyone else is with the infrared keeps clicking and going on and off every 2 sec. is there a fix or am i returning it for somthing different ? i had ring products for 5 years now
