New Ring Doorbell Gen. 2 ($99.99 model)

Hi! Just got my Ring tonight and thinking about installation. The backplate includes what seems to be a pretty strong magnet. Is this strong enough to use as the only method of attaching it to a metal door? I don't find any mention of this anywhere and it doesn't seem like earlier versions even had the magnet. Thanks!
