New doorbell but no ring protect

A couple of months ago I upgraded from a ring1 to the latest one. 2 nights ago my car was broken into and when trying to look at the footage it says I don’t have a ring protect plan. This must have gone when I got the new doorbell. This seems ridiculous as the plan was for me not the doorbell! Does anyone know if ring can access the recording if they took the plan away?

Log into your Ring Dashboard and check to see what your plan is.
If indeed you aren’t signed up with a plan then, no there won’t be any recordings to recover.
Barring that, none of us in these forums have access to your account info, so you’ll have to contact Ring Support ( and ask them about any issues with your account.
