New camera old solar panel with adapter works but app shows not connected

I replaced my ring spotlight camera and the barrel to USBC adapter.
Batteries charged from 91/96% so it works
BUT the app still shows “solar not connected “
It’s been 3 days now. Lots of sun

Anyone else experience this?

Hi @user27270. If the Solar Status in your Camera’s Device Health is not reporting correctly, try the following steps:

  • Unplug the Solar Panel from your Camera and reconnect it.

  • Reboot the Camera from the Ring app.

  • Verify your Ring app and phone are up-to-date with the latest updates.

  • Disable any active VPNs.
