Neighbors App has wrong address

I have the same issue, Ring app shows the correct address and zip code but the neighbors app has a wrong address.

I have the same issue and was provided the same steps above via Phone Support that did not work. On the bright side, the Chat Support agent I reached out to afterwards was able to give me a pro-rated refund of my Ring Protect subscription.

I stuck with the Ring doorbell to try out Ring’s security services, and after a year waiting for a fix, will be going with Nest.

I solved it, deleted Neighbors, no more annoying notifications.

Any update on this? Same issue here and with my multiple ring devices I have multiple addresses.

I did the same thing because I had the same issue. Mapbox did fix the address issue on their maps; however, it had no affect on the random address showing up on my neighbors app. I spoke to tech support for an issue I was having with some cameras and casually asked her about this issue. She informed me that this is a known issue for Ring and they are “trying” to resolve it. I lost track of how many “updates” their have been to the neighbors app since my ordeal began 10 months ago, but none of them have resolved the issue.

Mine has been incorrect for years…quite a pain in rear. It will not let me change it in RING…nor will it let me change it in NEIGHBORS by RING APP…tells me to go to side menu and settings and select…but when I do it says I cant do it. Never lived there… This needs to be fixed…a simple script should be able to pull address from RING DOORBELL and populate the database for NEIGHBORS… my goodness, if my developers were this slow and unable to fix a solution I would fire them.

NO such help here. Installed app…shows incorrect address. Click on it and will not let me edit address…refers me back to RING App… One big circle of error and incorrect directions in both apps.

Dealing with this same issue for over a year. No fix. “Sent to Escalation Team”.

It’s software!! Does anyone @Ring no how to write code?? Not asking for them to change the world, just fix my address in Neighbors.

Ring/ Neighbors Team,

If you couldn’t fix your code, I can help your software team to fix their code for free of cost.

Lot of users are waiting for you guys to fix this bug.

October 2021 this is still not solved?!!!

The marked solution DOES NOT solve the problem, as 10+ users have indicated above.

My Neighbors App and Ring app both point to the same address, but the home location shows 8 MILES AWAY from my house.

RING, WHAT ARE YOU DOING AND WHY ARE YOU NOT FIXING THIS FOR YOUR USERS!!!

I am having a related issue. My address was correct when I first created my account. I’ve since moved across the country. My address has been updated for my account and my devices, but the Neighbors app still shows activity from my old address 2500 miles away.

Same here! @Ring it’s freaking 2022 now and I’ve had this issue for over a year now. It’s becoming quite clear that you don’t give a about your customers. I finally got my address to populate correctly (no thanks to you or your team), but the geofence for my neighborhood is still popping up in a random field 10 miles north of my physical address. This renders your apps pointless.

I have the same problem. Tried everything, nothing works. Wanted to get a hold with their Customer service, nobody picks up, when you press those 1, 2 or 3 options, it get nowhere but repeat the options. When I want to chat with the customer service, the window never launch. Worst app design and worst customer service. I wish I did not buy their products!

Hey neighbors! To correct the location shown in your Ring app you will need to update the address by re-entering it in settings. Follow the steps below to update the location in your app.

  • Ensure your Ring app is up to date.
    • App versions required: 5.49 (iOS) or 3.49 (Android) or higher.
  • Open the the Main Menu in the Ring app by tapping on the three lines on the top left corner.
  • Confirm the location you would like to update is selected at the top, then select Settings .
  • Select Change Address.
  • Tap Edit Address.
    • Note: If you have Professional Monitoring as part of your Ring Alarm, you will be switched to self-monitoring. You will need to update your preference in the monitoring section in the Ring app to Professional Monitoring, this will confirm your updated address for monitoring.
  • Input your address, when you begin typing it will auto populate options in a drop down that you can choose from as well.
  • Confirm your address is correct on the map.
  • Confirm the name you’d like for your Location.
  • You are all set with an updated location!

Please let us know if you have any further concerns with the location in your app. Thank you for being a great neighbor!

It is February 2022 - The pinned solution is NOT a solution for Apple product users. Please unpin the solution, OR post that the solution only works for non-apple users. This is still an ONGOING issue… for over a year now.

4 days later in February 2022. Still no solution for iPhone users.

This also doesn’t work on Android if the App says your location is Earth.

This issue here Neighbors App - Address shows as "Earth"

We recently moved in November. My boyfriends is the main account holder and I am a “shared user” on the account. While his phone updated to the correct map location in Ring and in Neighbors, mine did not. I have tried all of the above, but as a shared user, I cannot do some of the things suggested for my account. All the address information is correct. We both have the exact same phone and on Android. We even deleted me from the account, uninstalled all Ring and Neighborhood apps from my phone and then re-added me as a shared user and reinstalled the apps onto my phone. This did not help at all. I just decided to turn off notifications and remove Neighborhood from my phone. I am tired of getting notifications for a place I don’t care about anymore. I guess we are stuck in this limbo of not getting the map to function properly. I’m done fighting with it.

exact same for me. My husband was able to update his, but on mine (despite showing the new address) I still see all the alerts from our past neighborhood.

Wow wow wow wow wow. I have the same issue and was looking for a solution. TWO YEARS LATER and there’s still nothing??? I tried the suggestion in this thread. Nothing. I just need the zip code for the safety report changed but it’s impossible. What a waste. :frowning:
