Moving and leaving Ring Base (will buy a new one in new location) , a camera and motion/door sensors. Taking some with me as well. Several z-wave smoke detectors linked to Ring remain as well. How to make sure new owner can make remaining system work for him. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks
Remove all the devices from your account. Then if they setup their own account they should be able to add the devices to their account. They may have to gain access to the inside or back of the device to get a QR code or other numbers.
Hi @FLMiller. As @SolarEclipse said, you will need to remove all of your Ring devices that you are leaving from the Ring app. When it comes to the Ring Alarm system and all of the Alarm Devices, ensure that you remove all Sensors before removing the Base Station. You will need to fully remove all of the Ring Alarm Sensors, even the ones that you wish to take with you as well as the ones that you will be leaving behind.
To remove each Sensor, follow the steps below in the Ring app:
- Tap the Menu in the top left corner
- Tap Devices
- Tap on Alarm Base Station
- Choose the Sensor you wish to remove
- Tap Device Settings
- Tap Remove and follow the prompts
After you’ve removed all of your Ring Alarm Sensors, including the Z-Wave Smoke Detectors, you can then remove the Base Station. To do this, navigate to the Base Station from the Devices list > tap on Device Settings > Advanced Options >Unregister System.
To remove any Ring Doorbells or Security Cameras you are leaving at the home, you can remove them by accessing the Device Settings tile > General Settings > Remove This Device. Make sure to download any videos you wish to save before removing these devices. I hope this information is helpful!
