Motion sensor issues

We are having issues with the ring doorbell not picking up motion. Most lateral motion it does detect. But when delivery drivers/ friends walk directly at our door it will jot activate. I have adjusted the zones and sensitivity with no luck.
Any thoughts?

A nearby road or common sidewalk and vehicle traffic can also impact your motion events experience.
