Motion detection goes off every three minutes with no motion. ???
Hey @Pmcannon ! The Alarm Motion Detectors have a built-in function called “dwell time.” Dwell time means that after a motion sensor is tripped it will need a three-minute period in which it detects no motion in order to “reset” back to its default detection mode.
This prevents the sensor from sending out multiple alerts for the same motion. If motion is triggering every 3 minutes, it’s possible there is a heat source of some sort within view or range of the detector. Check out our help center guide about Motion Detector placement for tips on avoiding false motions. I hope this helps!
