We updated the firmware for our ring doorbell, now the motion detection doesn’t work at all. Camera stopped detecting motion after update. Anyone else have this issue and figure out how to fix it?
Hey @measteresq. Do you see no events in the event history? Are you unable to pull up the Live View? Do you have an active Ring Protect Plan? If you have no events, and no live view, but an active plan, please try resetting the device by pressing and holding the setup button for 30 seconds. After this time, go into the Device Health page from the device’s profile in the Ring app and tap on reconnect or change wifi network. From there, this will help you re-establish the connection the Doorbell has, as well as ensure the firmware is correct on the device. Lastly, once back online, ensure you do not have the camera in a disarm Mode that could be disabling motion detection.
