I just bought a ring doorbell 2, and i set up everything for the motion alert accordingly. However, i did not get any notification from ring to my phone. Also, i did get notification when i press the button on the doorbell. I did try everything, and not sure what the issue is. I test the motion by standing in my front yard and still no notification. Anyone have any idea.
Hey @Kypiet. When you go into the Ring app > Main Menu > Devices > Doorbell 2 > Is the toggle for Motion Alerts turned on here? If not, please turn it on and let me know if this helps! If it is, please try removing the Ring app from your phone, rebooting your phone by turning it off/on and then reinstalling the app. From here, log back in and make sure these alerts are enabled again and test it at your Doorbell 2 to see if you get the alert! If not, please let me know what kind of phone you are running this on and what OS you are running it on.
