Currently, there are only three options in Alexa that trigger an event from the Ring Alarm system. These are: “Armed away”, “Disarmed”, and “Armed stay”, in which the trigger is when you put the system into one of these modes. Others have posted that they want more options, specifically for when the alarm goes off and the siren blares it activates a trigger in Alexa. This would allow for routines like turning on lights to discourage and easily identify invaders as well as many almost limitless possibilities when the siren goes off. This should have been a day 1 feature and it’s hard to believe we have to use 3rd party applications (that don’t even work) to try and make up for the missing ring features. Please work with the Alexa app to add this essential feature.
