Mode dependent push notifications to iPhone

“Another member wrote: We need to be able to disable the alarm and when disabled automatically have specific device notifications have on/off toggles so we don’t get a constant barrage of motion notifications when we are home. This could also be done by allowing customized monitoring of devices in disabled mode. Currently you can not have the system disabled and either stop motion detection or just stop notifications without going to each device and toggling them off independently which is not a reasonable thing to do every time. It’s highly inconvenient to want motion notifications in away mode yet not want them in disabled mode. It’s hard to believe this isn’t possible but it appears to not be.”

I would like to disable all push notifications to my iPhone from the outdoor motion sensors on a Ring bridge when “disabled” is the alarm mode. Also, ideally, in “home” mode. Tried geofencing, but it didn’t stop the notifications. I don’t want to “snooze” multiple times every day! Don’t want to decrease the already low sensitivity.

Any suggestions?

Hi there, @dalec! In this instance I’d normally recommend Geofencing for when you are home, but it looks like you’ve tried that feature. In the Ring app Menu > Settings > Modes area, you can control chirps for each mode type, but not push notifications. It looks like the best way to accomplish what you are looking for, at this time, is to manually toggle each Alarm device’s alerts toggle off. As we always value our neighbors’ feedback, feel free to add this request on our Feature Request Board. This way other neighbors can share their interest in one place, that we can organize and share with our teams here.
