Many Live View Mostly Black

I recently installed 2 Pro 2 doorbells.

When I look in History, either in the Ring app on my iPhone or at Ring.com on my desktop, there are many “Live View” events. Mostly, when clicking on these, the screen remains black. On the iPhone, there’s a little “loading” symbol, but nothing ever loads.

However, if I choose to download these events, I can see a video – and there is nothing apparent that should have triggered anything.

So … what is causing all of these Live View events and why are most of them black?

I’m having the same issue, just started this afternoon. Live view events are visible on the app when they’re being recorded, the event does record, but going back to view in Event History I hear audio with no video (black screen)

I’m having the exact same issue. I’ve called tech support twice and was told “we’ll look into it. Is there anything else I can help you with?” I then received an email from Ring support saying “we’re investigating your issue.” I’m hoping there will be an app software update soon

I was able to resolve my issue- I adjusted some settings on my router and regained the ability to view Live View events in the Event History

Hi @Pete66. Live Views are usually triggered when you or a Shared User activate the Doorbell to see what is happening. As for the recordings having a black screen, try the following steps:
