Live View Screeching Noise

I just bought a new Ring Gen 2 Security Camera. When I put it in live view, I get a terrible screeching noise. How can I fix this?

I guess it’s not feedback due to the fact you are close to the camera ?

I’m having the same issue and it’s new. I’ve had the doorbell since June and it only just started doing it. Maybe it’s some kind of app issue?

Hi neighbors! There should definitely not be any loud screeching sounds when viewing video. As @ChrisJohn mentioned, audio feedback can occur when streaming live with two way talk enabled and being too close to the Ring device with the mobile device connecting through the Ring app.

Wifi signal interference can often cause poor audio or video. Check out our Community post about RSSI for tips on optimizing this signal strength. Although, this should not cause screeching of any sort. Please also check for any appliances or electronics nearby that might cause interference.

Removing and reinstalling the Ring app is a quick way to ensure it is up to date and optimally integrated with your mobile device. If possible, see if you can test audio on another mobile device entirely. I hope this helps! :slight_smile:
