Live View on Video Doorbell (2nd gen) is horrible, and has bad RSSI.


I recently bought a Ring Video Doorbell (2nd gen), but it had bad RSSI (-56). So I put an extender next to it, but my doorbell suddenly changed to -62 RSSI. About 15 ft. of the router and the doorbell, ~2 in. of door thickness. Please help!

Hi @The_Animatebook! The RSSI described can certainly be directly related to video connection quality. Video connection concerns are often related to wifi, mobile device, or Ring app communication variables. The best first thing to check is your wifi signal strength, or RSSI, which can be found in the Device Health section of your Ring app. Check out our Community post about RSSI for tips on optimizing this signal strength.
