Link garage door (myQ) WITHOUT linking amazon key?

I would like to add myq garage door without linking amazon key. How can I do this??? It would be great to integrate myq into the ring appt but I find it to be ludicrous that I *have to* link Amazon key to simply link myq to ring. Is there any way to bypass this?

I linked MyQ without enabling Amazon Key, but it has been a while and I don't remember the details of what I did. It shows in the Garage tile, but you can't open or close the door from that tile. Clicking on the garage door takes you to the MyQ app where you can open/close the door.
