Keypad battery expanded, ripped off the dc charger

I noticed today the keypad is offline. I went to check and it turned out that the battery is extremely expanded and it pushes the case, which ripped off the micro usb connector. That the reason why the keypad is offline, since there is no charger. The product was bought one and a half years ago, so it is out of warranty. Anyone knows how to deal with that. So surprised to me that the battery can only last 1.5 years, and it went that bad.

Hello @Yehanma ,

Sorry to hear that your keypad is messed up. But even though it is beyond its original one-year standard warranty, it still might be covered by an Extended Warranty if you have a Ring Protect “Plus” Plan subscription!

If you are “Self-Monitoring” your alarm system without a Ring Protect subscription, you might be eligible for a discount on a new Keypad if you are in a “Qualified” group. More details on the Ring Protect “Plus” Plan Extended Warranty and the discount eligbility information are covered in this link:

I hope this information is helpful.

Hello Boone,

Thanks for your reply. I am on protection plus plan. So I guess it is covered. Do you have any links on instructions about how to contact Ring to get it replaced?

Thanks,
