Ring Video Doorbell
Is there a way to "turn off" my ring doorbell?
I'm moving the doorbell to a new place. Is there a way to turn it off in order to put it back in the box, or is it just going to sit inside there, taking pictures of the inside of the box until the battery dies?

Hi, I tried this solution. I have one of the internal battery doorbells. Even after disabling motion, and even after my RING is no longer wired to the house, the doorbell is still "on" with a glowing light. Tapping it rings it etc. How does one completely turn it off, so that it doesn't just sit idle and run out the battery while it is in storage?

Dang that's a drag. Elsewhere I see that draining the battery can result in errors. Well, I guess I don't have a choice so I'll take chances. In any even, that's for confirming my fear ;)

Hi @Falk. If you have a battery operated device, you can simply remove the battery. If you have the Ring Video Doorbell with the internal battery, you can go in the Ring App and turn off Record Motion. This can be done by selecting- Menu \> Devices \> (Doorbell) \> Record Motion and toggle that off. Let me know if you have any more questions!
