iPhone App Rejected

On 9 January the app stopped working on my IPhone, this may be linked to an Apple update. I deleted the app as nothing worked on it. I successfully loaded the app on an IPad but when I try to reload the app on my phone I get an error message ‘406 not acceptable’. Is this an Apple update issue, if so it can’t just be me?
