I think I have had these cameras for 3 months and one won’t turn on now. Randomly turned off one day. No lights, response to on switch, doesn’t matter what outlet I use around the house. It’s the white indoor security camera you plug into an outlet and can mount on the wall or place on a shelf. Motion activated.
Hi @Sbrewer731. A factory reset and new setup in the Ring App typically resolves concerns like this. First, ensure the power cable on your Indoor Cam is fully plugged in on both ends, at the outlet and at the Cam. To reset your Indoor Cam, hold down the setup button on it for at least 20 seconds. After the reset is done, walk through a new setup in the Ring App with the steps under Set Up a Device. Complete the setup process and let me know if that helps!
same with mine. it is just dead. the power cord does work with another camera so it is the unit itself. is there another way to hard boot this thing other than the button on top?
Mine has literally done the same. We had a power cut in the street yesterday several times due to local engineering and since then the indoor camera has died. I deleted the device from my app to try and re set but as it won’t even turn on so I can’t do anything with it. I’ve tried different plug sockets nothing works and with it not taking any power I can’t even try to reset by pressing the top button as The whole device is dead. Any ideas or just a case of contacting ring? The device is about 5 months old
