My Indoor camera occasionally starts playing an extremely loud static sound. The only way to get it to stop is by unplugging it. Software is all up to date. Any ideas? It scares the hell out of me every time it does it.
Hi @Teraflx. The next time this happens, could you capture it on video and share this with us? In addition, you can give our support team a call here so they can take a deeper look into your device to see if they can isolate why this is happening!
This constantly happens at least once a day to me as well any fixes yet?
My indoor cam makes this loud static noise too and it drives me crazy! Any fixes yet?? I’m ready to return it!!

Our brand new indoor camera is also doing this, very loud static at random times. Really awful. Any solutions yet? Will take a video when it happens again.
I just tried to post a video for you, too large even when zipped. not that long a video. I also emailed it.
Mine is also doing this, had it about 4 days now. When the static noise sounds out of the loud speaker, it also records a section of motion that is just a black screen with no sound. There does not appear to be any pattern to it, so chances of recording it are low, without having another cam looking at it! The camera appears to be up to date firmware wise, with - 58db WiFi signal. I work in IT, specifically installing WiFi. Hopefully someone can push an update to the cams to fix this, as I have another on the way…

Just installed two cameras today. One of them does this same thing. Randomly you hear really loud static through camera’s speaker. The other camera there is no issue. Excellent RSSI, firmware up to date. I see that this same issue has been happening with others for months and Ring hasn’t fixed. Sounds like it is bad circuitry that is why they can’t fix with firmware. This cam getting boxed up and shipped back to Ring.
