How to Keep it Connected

How do I keep my doorbell online? When it disconnects is there a way to reconnect without taking it down and manually reconnecting it? I have the 2020 version.

Hi @Sunniest. If your Video Doorbell is having a tough time staying connected to your wifi , you can start by following two steps. 1. Verify that the [signal strength of your Video Doorbell](https://community.ring.com/t/how-it-works-your-ring-device-rssi-good-vs-poor/229) is at an acceptable level, which is anything below a -66. If it has poor signal strength, you will want to bring your router closer or add a wifi extender closer to the Video Doorbell. 2. Reboot your router by unplugging it for a minute and then plugging it back in. Additionally, your Video Doorbell disconnecting can be caused by settings in your router. This Help Center article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023559372-Fixing-Your-Devices-Falling-Offline-Repeatedly-by-Adjusting-Your-Router) will help look into what adjustments to your router could help. As far as reconnecting your Video Doorbell, you will have to press the set up button on the back of it. If you have tried these steps and are still having the same concern, give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) for further assistance. If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.
