How Long is Battery Effective Life

Hi,I have a Ring 3 plus doorbell that I got in Oct 2020, along with a spare battery. I have always charged the spare and have it ready to replace the battery in use. Typically, I have gotten about a month of service before I had to swap batteries Lately, however, that is no longer the case-- seems like I have to swap out about every 10 days -- and I don't get notified, I just discover that doorbell has gone off line.Is it the battery or something else?Would appreciate assistance Thanks

Hi @user28282. Unexpected battery drain can have various different causes, such as the weather, the wifi connection, and the amount of activity your Doorbell is recording. I'd first suggest reviewing the recent Event History to see the average amount of events your Doorbell is recording each day. If you notice a higher number than usual, you may need to adjust your motion settings to help reduce this. Additionally, you can verify the strength of the wifi signal by looking at the RSSI on the Device Health page in the Ring app. If your Doorbell has an unstable wifi connection, the battery may drain more quickly if the Doorbell is disconnecting and reconnecting to the wifi network frequently. You can learn more about RSSI [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/217271526-Understanding-RSSI-and-Wifi-Signal-Strength).
