I have a ring video doorbell – version 3.
I have it linked to bring up the live display on the Echo Show if the doorbell is pushed.
How long does the display stay up on the Echo Show? I am worried that this will burn out the battery on the ring video doorbell. I did not see a parameter to adjust this.
If you are relying on me/my family shutting down the view on the echo show – this is not going to happen.
Hi @rwenig. The Live View will not stay up indefinitely, as it will automatically timeout after 10 minutes. No worries about needing to manually close it to avoid the battery being drained. Is there a way to make this 10 minute timeout configurable?
If i get 5 cars per hour in my driveway, the camera will always be on…
@rwenig There is not an option to change the Live View time frame, as it will automatically time out after 10 minutes if the Live View isn’t manually closed.
