Any idea why my ring doorbell video has horizontal lines running across it in night recording making the recording unwatchable, day time recording is fine
Hi @user30334. Try rebooting your Video Doorbell in the Ring app by tapping the menu in the top left > Devices > your Video Doorbell > Device Health > scroll to the bottom and tap Reboot This Device. This process may take a few moments but will typically clear up any performance errors.
If that doesn’t do the trick, you can complete a full reset by holding down the setup button on your Doorbell for 20 seconds. Make sure to download any videos you want to keep. After the reset is complete, walk through a new setup of the Doorbell using the steps under Set Up a Device in the Ring app. Should this still not work to correct the lines on the video, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here for further assistance.
Since my last post the video doorbell no longer connects to the wifi and if i press the setup button nothing happens. I think it may have died. Although if i remove the battery and reinstall the blue light flashes but doesn’t connect

Just had the same problem on a ring 2, turns out the battery indicator was not showing the correct status of the battery, 80% when it was just about dead, switched out the battery and the horizontal lines disappeared, sadly that is a relatively new spare battery
