Ring Security Cameras
HEVC not supported? Not true as other are showing camera preview but one is not
Why in the same browser on the Dashboard would one of fifteen cameras say the browser does not support cameras preview, while all the others (same model and version) have no problem? All on the same browser tab. Why?

Hi neighbors, chiming in with an update here. HEVC is not yet supported by most browsers. You will have to enable Legacy Mode in order to view your videos on Ring.com. If you're prompted by Ring.com to switch to Legacy Mode, we recommend accepting this prompt to do so. Shared users will have to have the device owner enable Legacy Mode for them. Any recordings made prior to enabling Legacy Mode will remain in HEVC format, and will have to be downloaded from the browser to play, or played in the Ring app on iOS or Android. Web support for the Ring Car Cam is partial, and you cannot view videos (local or cloud) or Live View on Ring.com at this time. We're always working to improve functionality and add features, and hope to have it available in an upcoming release. In the meantime, you can access the Live View and view videos from your Car Cam in the Ring app on iOS or Android.

MMThat is incorrect - HEVC IS supported by browsers - There is an issue on your end which is causing an inability to view our cameras via your website. Can you confirm that a fix is being worked on, instead of repeatedly telling us to fall back to legacy mode?

UCaitlyn_Ring, If what you said is true, then why doesn't HEVC support affect all the cameras on a web browser? I have 5 cameras, but only one of them required me to switch to legacy mode. All the rest of the cameras were and still are fine. If you have made the switch to only HEVC, why isn't impacting all cameras? Others have stated the same, that it only impacts one or two of multiple cameras they own. Please respond with an answer?

I'm having the same issue with my Ring Car Cam on both my Chrome and Edge browsers. I gave Microsoft a hard-earned dollar for an HEVC codec that did not work.
