I was an early adopter of the Car Cam. Received mine in February and installed it immediately. It mostly worked for a few months (though it would regularly disconnect because of low battery issues, despite having a brand new battery in my car). I moved it to my other car, and again, it worked for a couple of weeks. Then it started disconnecting from the network. Every few days it would suddenly reconnect and then disconnect a few days later. Now I can’t even get this thing to connect. It is getting power… the button turns green when I press it… but it will not connect at all. Do I just have a bad one? It’s so frustrating.
Hi @jtmportland. The Car Cam needs to be powered and connected to the internet, either via your home wifi network or LTE (provided by Ring Protect Go) in order to activate the Live View. If you have the Ring Protect Go plan but you’re experiencing issues with the LTE, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here for further assistance.
