Hardwiring Ring gen 1 to charge via a transformer

I have the resister from Ring and want to buy a transformer. One I am looking at in Australia is 220-240V -50/60 Hz75mA. Output 12 V AC- 1.2A . 15W Max.

Would this work with the resister.?

Hi @Simoclan. If you’re planning to install your Video Doorbell (1st gen) directly to a transformer without a chime kit, I’d recommend reviewing the installation instructions in our Help Center article here. You need to use a low voltage 8-24V AC transformer for the Video Doorbell (1st gen), and a resistor is required in place of a mechanical or electronic doorbell kit for this alternate configuration to work successfully.
